Meat Loaf with Beef Bone Broth Glaze Recipe!

What a great dish and great way to utilize delicious grass fed ground beef! It is important to note that you want to use grass fed & grass finished beef to ensure the beef has been raised its entire life on pasture, eating grass as cows were meant to do. In this recipe, it is also important to use a top quality beef bone broth for the glaze. Our Organic Grass Fed & Grass Finished Beef Bone Broth is the perfect choice! If using your own beef broth, it must gel when chilled. When cooking, we used a small toaster oven on convection bake which worked perfect and cooked in 20 minutes. We added beef bone broth to the mixture as well as to the basting juice to help the grass fed beef develop flavor and also to add moisture and naturally occurring, gut healing gelatin. This recipe is quick and easy...enjoy!

Meat Loaf with Beef Bone Broth Glaze

1 lb organic grass fed ground beef 1 medium onion, processed
1 carrot, processed 4 cloves garlic, processed
beef fat or coconut oil 1-2 cups TFC Organic Beef Bone Broth
3 tbsp organic low sugar ketchup 2 tbsp coconut aminos
1 tsp sea salt 1 tsp granulated garlic
1 tsp granulated onion ½ tsp dried oregano

Preheat oven to 400°F. (We used a toaster oven on 400°F convection bake).

In a food processor, process the onion, garlic, and carrot to a fine grind (but not purée).

In a small sauté pan, add the beef or coconut fat to sauté the processed onions, garlic, and carrot. This draws out the flavor and sugar in them and makes the meat loaf really tasty. To this mixture, add some of the salt and, after 4 to 5 minutes, add ½ cup of The Flavor Chef Organic Grass Fed & Grass Finished Beef Bone Broth. Allow the pan to heat back up and reduce the broth quickly. Once reduced by ½, remove and cool this mixture.

In a mixing bowl, add the ground beef, the vegetable mix, the ketchup, the coconut aminos, the sea salt and other dried spices, and mix thoroughly.

Form a small patty from the beef to make a small tester in your small sauté pan. Once tasted, adjust your seasoning, if necessary. Form the loaf and top with about ½ cup of The Flavor Chef Organic Grass Fed & Grass Finished Beef Bone Broth. Place in a 400°F oven and set timer for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the loaf will be medium rare. Baste the loaf with remaining beef bone broth and finish cooking for another 5 minutes. Remove the loaf from the oven and spoon the pan juices over the top to create the glaze.

Bon appétit!
